Angela’s goal when she was at School, was to start her own business, she just didn’t know what… Fast forward 30+ years and Angela did not just do that, she has owned and operated 5 different businesses.
Back in 1995 Angela was completing a Diploma in Graphic Design with a training organisation in Sydney CBD, who offered her a job as a trainer. Although Angela did not take the position, she did wonder whether working in the training industry would be a future prospect.
Angela moved around a bit, working for others after having her two beautiful children, Ryan and Ciara. Over this time, Angela discovered very quickly that working for others is not for her, as she just found it to restricting.
Angela’s first venture into entrepreneurship was running a freelance Graphic Design business from home, back in 1995. She went on from there to owning and operating a second-hand children’s clothing and furniture shop, which she sold one and a half years later for 3 times the amount she bought it.
Following the sale of the shop, Angela started her journey into the training industry, which started with completing a Train the Computer Trainer course. She then went on to formalise her business administration experience, by completing a Certificate III and IV in Business Administration. Angela found this to be so easy, she decided to challenge herself by undertaking her lifelong dream of completing a University qualification. It took 7 years to complete, whilst working 2 days a week as a trainer and 3 days per week as a Training Coordinator and placing her degree on hold whilst she owned and operated an RTO.
In 2006 Angela took over a business in Newcastle, which is where she first ventured into her first Registered Training Organisation. When she bought this RTO, it had only 8 training products on the scope, 2 training rooms and 5 trainers. By the time Angela sold this RTO in 2009, there were 35 Training Products on the scope, 15 training rooms and over 40 Trainers and Assessors.
Shortly after selling her RTO in 2009, Angela founded Vivacity RTO Coaching and Consulting, now known as Vivacity. When Vivacity started, the majority of our clients were in Newcastle and the Central Coast, but it wasn’t long before Vivacity expanded around Australia.
Vivacity has been servicing the training industry with coaching and consulting services since 2009, including online training, a range of membership options and consulting services.
